We've been to many concerts and this is one we've been excited to see! I mean, we are excited about them all, but I really do like John Mayer! I saw him in concert years ago when he had just released his first album, small venue, small crowd. Now he's selling out arena's and has released 7 albums!

Over the course of the last couple of concert seasons, I think we've both come to realize that we really do enjoy small venue concerts and festivals. This may be the last big concert venue we go to for a while. I had tickets to see Ed Sheeran here next week and we decided that we've heard his music so much on the radio that we could skip the concert. I sold the tickets on Stub Hub...

So, let's get this John Mayer concert started!! 

I worked until 5, grabbed a few things and headed down to Sac to hang out and "pre-game" for a few at Chris's apartment in Midtown. We enjoyed a couple of cider beverages and caught un Uber to the Golden 1 Center.

And we grabbed a couple more ciders. Two Rivers is a local brewery and their ciders are delicious. At $14 a pop, they better be good! Yep, they were!!

It' s a full house!! We arrived at about 8:30, just in time for John to take the stage.

Lots of stage changes. Pretty cool backgrounds. 

In years past, this was how we got a band to come out for an encore.... but it was with cigarette lighters. Now it's all cell phone flashlights...

Nothing like a map from San Francisco to Sacramento. He referenced this area as "Bay Area" a couple of times and was met with a room full of Boooooo's.

It's tough to take great videos at a concert because I'm usually dancing. And I'm really posting these hear to be able to listen them again at some point. The quality may be low, but the memories value is high. 

The concert was set up a like a movie. It rolled sections through the concert. Then this came on after "The End" was posted. Guess it's really over. Great concert! 

We left Golden 1 and started walking back towards Chris's place. We eventually caught an Uber, I wasn't really wearing walking shoes...
